November 16, 2011 was the Great Minnesota Give Together - Give to the Max Day.  This is Minnesota's largest online donation day and we want to thank you for being a part of it!  We raised $955, thank you donors!

Our 2011 gala was an exceptional evening for Hope for the City and our community!  Our annual Celebration of Hope Gala hosted nearly 600 guests for an evening filled with good food, fellowship, auctions, and live music, in support of a very important cause.  This year's gala raised $373,000, an increase of $70,000 over 2010, in support of individuals and families in need both locally and around the world. 

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, volunteers and guests who gave generously to help make an impact in the lives of those we serve.   Through you, we are able to secure corporate surplus, including food, basic care items and medical equipment and supplies, and distribute these crucial resources to those who need them the most. On behalf of Hope for the City and the thousands of individuals and families who will benefit from your generosity, we thank you!

Hope For The City's "Lunch Box For Kids" program is designed to combat summer hunger by meeting the needs of Minnesota families who find their food supply stretched because of decreased food shelf donations and increased demands for meals at home when children are not receiving breakfast and lunch at school.

In 2011, Hope for the City along with Nash Finch and KSTP 5 Eyewitness News were able to distribute 4,500 lunch boxes to local kids in need.  This amounted to 90,000 lunches that fed 45,000 kids lunch for 2 weeks!
